Mr. Khaled El Attar

Vice Minister for Administrative Development, Digital Transformation and Automation<br>Ministry of Communications and Information Technology

Khaled El Attar is leading Egypt’s Digital Transformation Program. He serves in the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology as the Vice Minister for Administrative Development, Digital Transformation and Automation since June 2018. He also holds the position of the Head of IT Infrastructure Sector at MCIT since 2015. El Attar has more than 35 years of experience in the field of Informatics, supervising the implementation of more than 150 projects in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain, Germany, and the USA. For more than 28 years, he has held multiple managerial positions at IBM, as well as Raya Holding, and lectured at Cairo University’s Faculty of Engineering. El Attar has a bachelor’s degree in Engineering with honors, and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT), in addition to a Master’s degree in Research at the University of Liverpool. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Change Management at Liverpool University.
